アメリカの音楽TVチャンネル大手VH1より、「史上最も偉大な100枚のアルバム」が2001年に発表されました。さまざまな層にアンケートを採ったようで、ブリトニー・スピアーズ（？）なんて名前も出て来ます。ビートルズ、ビーチ・ボーイズ、マーヴィン・ゲイ、ジミ・ヘンドリックスなど、とても「正統派な」ランキングが続きます。
